Dzeko Stuns Schalke

Edin Dzeko is back with a bang! The Bosnia international striker, who spent most of the summer pushing for a dream move to AC Milan, has finally underlined his commitment to Wolfsburg with an outstanding decisive brace away to Schalke 04.
Following the Bundelisga champions’ humbling at the hands of a revamped Bayern Munich before the break for international action, they needed to make a strong recovery in Gelsinkerchen against former coach Felix Magath’s motivated Schalke.
Such was the motivation of the hosts that they kept battling till the end to score an 80th minute equalizer to Dzeko’s first goal via the unlikely source of defender Benedikt Höwedes. However, a minute later, Dzeko pounced home from close range to restore the lead for the visitors. Wolfsburg then went on to defend with the composure and quality of true champions, which enabled them to reach fifth place despite a turbulent start to their season.
Schalke 04, on the other hand, were restricted to third place, which means they could be leapfrogged by several different clubs who play on Saturday or Sunday. A huge question that remains unanswered is whether or not any other player will be able to outshine the heroics of Edin Dzeko this weekend.
Could Dzeko ever cut in the bigger European leagues? Have your say below!
